R-evolution for Good was born from delivery of a successful charity, Moray School Bank, created from the strengths of the management board. We value working on strength-based solutions, therefore, we bring over 30 years of experience in delivering learning and development to business. It is our vision to share our strengths-based solutions with your business and help you support your people to meet their potential.
We have a track record in successfully coaching and developing people, from all backgrounds and will work hard to support your business alongside supporting people in the community to grow and develop.
R-evolution for Good is registered as a Charitable Community Benefit Society, in other words, it is a community owned society with purely charitable purpose and any revenue generating work must allow it to carry out its charitable purpose only. Community Benefit Societies work to provide benefit for the wider community, for instance, this can be compared to a co-operative society which works for the benefit of its members, whereas, a community benefit society can support anyone in a community whether they are members or not. Being owned and led by community members means that for us the community can own and be part of the solution to child poverty.
Our development solutions are designed to empower people to reach their potential. We bring our unique approach to your business working shoulder to shoulder with people. We deliver people solutions for leadership, wellbeing and team effectiveness. Our strengths lie in performance, motivation and development, helping people to thrive and be the best they can be. We bring over 30 years of experience of development and delivery of training in manufacturing, retail and tourism and bring with us a wealthy portfolio of knowledge, expertise. With specialisms in Counselling, Coaching, Management, Corporate Mental Health and Coaching. Our unique offer is that we are owned, led and managed by the community.
People are the assets we invest in to deliver our business and we work with people to nurture and harness their strengths. We believe that self-confidence and self-belief give people the skills to discover, understand and use their strengths to allow them to perform at their optimum. We believe that all people are equal, that we are all capable of great things, performing at our best for ourselves, our teams and our organisations. It is our vision to work with people at their level in an honest and open way that nurtures connection, grows positivity, enables potential and starts the revolution. What’s different about us is that we are not about making money, we are all about facilitating change.
Community shares are a way of raising investment capital from communities. Local people are encouraged to buy shares in the enterprise, so become part-owners. As shareholders they are more likely to do everything they can to ensure the success of the business, as a result, becoming volunteers and supporters of the enterprise. Community shares have been used to finance shops, pubs, community buildings, local food schemes, football clubs and even renewable energy initiatives. Most community share offers are made by enterprises registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014.
All of our Community Shareholders in R-evolution are members of our Society, with an equal vote regardless of the size of their shareholding. Involvement can be as much or as little as you wish. You can vote at Member Meetings, stand for election to the Board, volunteer skills for the running of the organisation or even help run community events or activities. To find out more visit Community Shares Scotland.
Our 2nd Community Share Offer is now OPEN, it runs from 30th May 2023 to 30th July 2023 where we aim to raise between £40,000 and £60,000 of investment. Our previous share offer ran in 2020 and raised over £16,000 of investment in our business from 53 shareholders.
How do we differ from other training providers?
We are owned and led by the community. We have 53 Community Shareholders, who have invested in our business to help us end child poverty.
How do we end child poverty for families?
100% of our profits are invested in supporting families to end their cycle of hardship through counselling and coaching, ending child poverty one family at a time, allowing all the family to meet their potential, and also supporting Moray School Bank.
You can see from our detailed business plan, how we plan to deliver on our vision and aims. It contains our financial projections and outcomes. Please contact us if you have any questions or need further information.
Our legal structure as a Community Benefit Society requires us to have a comprehensive management document which is presented as our Rules and it details our responsibilities as a community organisation.
