Counselling

Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained & qualified professional therapist about your issues and concerns. They won’t tell you what you should think or do.

Counselling Tailored to your needs

At R-evolution we pride ourselves in supporting people from a dignified and empowered place. We walk beside people while they ascertain where the changes need to happen and spend the time to walk with them while they choose the road that will help them get to their choice of destination. Our services are unique in that they not only involve working with parents but involve the family as a unit and will identify the growth needed for the children to thrive and meet their potential as well as the parents. Our Counselling services are 1-2-1, confidential and, where possible, not time bound.

We spend time getting to know you  and will spend quality time being able to support you. We will work with you to heal from the trauma you have experienced and walk beside as you take each small step to where you want to be.

What's the difference between Counselling and Coaching?

Revolution Coaching and counselling

Who is counselling for?

Counselling is talking therapy to help you heal trauma from the past, an opportunity for everyone of all ages, from 5 upwards, to talk about your worries which may include :

  • your relationships
  • your childhood feelings, emotions or thoughts
  • your behaviour
  • past and present life events
  • situations you find difficult

Counselling for both adults and children costs £40 per hour

Our counselling service is completely FREE for parents who are experiencing financial hardship, however there is a considerable waiting list. You will need to be referred to this service.

How does it work?

Counselling provides a safe and confidential space for you to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns. Your counsellor will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can
develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.  A counsellor will not give you their opinions or advice or prescribe medication. They will help you find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping with your problems. Your counsellor will be impartial but understanding. They will listen to you without judgment and will offer a safe space to explore life’s ups and downs. They may also offer information, but they won’t tell you what you should think or do.

You can self refer for counselling for yourself or your children.

Could counselling help?

Counselling with Children & Young People

We offer some free counselling spaces with children and young people which is currently funded by The National Lottery Community Fund.

Since 2020 we have worked with over 50 children, offering a safe space for them to heal and transform their lives through therapy. The impact has shown increased confidence, increased managing of emotions, reduced anxiety and much happier children and young people.

This funded provision is limited within the budget of the project, however, paid places are available for those who wish to self fund counselling for their children.
